Civil War History Explodes at Confederate Reunion Grounds

Have you ever felt the reverberations when a live cannon is shot? Do you know the true function of a corset? If not, head out to Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site this weekend and enjoy battle reenactments and other Civil War-era activities. The site hosts its 15th Annual Civil War Living History and Reenactment, April 18-19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $7.50 for a two-day pass (Saturday and Sunday). Admission is free for children under 12. Family-friendly activities include cavalry demonstrations, Civil War-era fashion presentations, vintage base ball, music, a church service and much more.
