Landmark Inn Hosts Medina County Texas Quilters

The Friends of the Landmark Inn hosted a book signing at Landmark Inn State Historic Site on September 15th. Medina County Texas Quilters is the work of Bonnie Keller and Madelyn Van De Walle. Their self-published book features over 200 color photos of locally crafted quilts, and includes stories about the quilts and quilters. Keller and Van De Walle spent several months gathering leads, stories, and photographing the quilts for this Medina County collection.

Eleven of the quilts were on display the day of the book signing. The following photo is of Adele Mozek standing in front of her quilt titled “Fiesta.”

The Castroville Quilters and Stitchers, along with Keller and Van De Walle, will participate in the Landmark Inn’s Pioneer Day on October 6th.

Landmark Inn State Historic Site is located in Castroville, approximately 20 miles west of San Antonio, in the Texas Hill Country Trail Region.
